"Access denied" error in XP when trying to access an external hard drive used on Windows 7
Hi,I have been using my external hard drive as normal on my XP machine for months now, but yesterday I had to use it on a different machine running Windows 7. Windows 7 asked something like "would you like to enable access to this drive?" and I clicked yes thinking that it wouldn't cause any issues (showed a green bar elapsing at the top of the window), but now that I am trying to use it again on my XP machine I am getting an access denied error, like some permission has changed. I just installed service pack 3 but that hasn't helped.Help fixing this would be greatly appreciated, I am happy to just keep using the external drive on on my XP machine - using it on the other Windows 7 machine was just a one-off.Thanks!Simon1 person got this answerI do too
